What happens
Gary Ainsworth, newly married to Geraldine, is troubled by a silk slip that once belonged to his former friend Mabel, with his own handwritten inscription on it. Mabel threatens to reveal the slip to Geraldine, and Gary turns to Boris, a Russian waiter at his hotel, for help. At a country weekend at Arthur's house, Boris attempts to recover the slip, and the evening turns into a series of misunderstandings. This is an episode of the Screen Guild Theater series, first broadcast on May 22, 1944, with Marjorie Reynolds, Dennis O'Keefe, Jinx Falkenberg and Misha Auer in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
