What happens
Screen Guild Theater presents a radio adaptation of the 1943 Warner Brothers film Thank Your Lucky Stars, broadcast on September 27, 1943. Eddie Cantor, Dennis Morgan and Dinah Shore perform songs from the picture while trading jokes about who the real star is. Cantor boasts about his popularity and his own role, while Morgan and Shore tease him about his vanity. Cantor sings several numbers, and Shore performs a song dedicated to the servicemen overseas. The sketch is framed by banter between Cantor and the program's host, Truman Bradley, who is shown in the broadcast as the show's narrator. Songs and comic exchanges make up the broadcast, which also includes a sponsor segment for Lady Esther face cream.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
