What happens

Bob Hope plays a vain actor and quick-change artist travelling by ship to America when he becomes entangled with a princess, Margaret, who has fled her father's realm to be with a commoner. Their journey brings them into the company of pirates, including the one-handed buccaneer known as the Hook, who commands the vessel. A ship's passenger is drawn into the sailors' schemes, and the pair find themselves hunted by pirates once they reach the port of Casarouge. The episode is the Screen Guild Theater adaptation of the 1945 film, broadcast on March 26, 1945, and it stars Bob Hope and Virginia Mayo in their original screen roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
