What happens
Eva Lovelace, a stage-struck young woman from rural Vermont, arrives at New York producer Lewis Easton's office hoping for a part in his new play. Her eccentric charm impresses playwright Joseph Sheridan, who takes her to a party at Easton's apartment. There she grows emotional on a balcony, and Easton, who has had too much champagne, makes romantic remarks he later regrets. The next morning, Easton asks Joseph to clear the infatuated young woman out of his life. This episode is the Screen Guild Theater adaptation of Morning Glory, the stage-and-film story presented here with Miriam Hopkins as Eva, Adolphe Menjou as Easton, and Ray Milland as Joseph. The original air date was March 24, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
