What happens
Screen Guild Theater presents a radio adaptation of Command Decision, the 1949 film, broadcast on March 3, 1949. Brigadier General Casey Dennis, commanding a bomber division in England, faces mounting losses as his crews fly maximum-effort missions against German targets. Pressure builds from his superior, General Kane, and from Congressman Malcolm, whose nephew Captain Jenks has refused to fly a mission. Dennis must weigh the cost of his orders against the importance of a secret operation aimed at halting German jet fighter production. The players include Clark Gable, Walter Pidgeon, Van Johnson, Brian Donlevy, John Hodiak and Edward Arnold.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
