What happens

Mickey Moran and Patsy Barton, two young performers, are thrilled when music publisher Mr. Skyler buys Mickey's song for a hundred dollars. Mickey dreams of producing his own show and promises Patsy a place in it. Short of money, they hope to find an investor, and Mickey's ambitions bring tensions with Patsy and with a former child star, Baby Rosalie, whose backing he seeks. Broadcast on the Screen Guild Theater on November 9, 1941, this adaptation of the Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney film Babes in Arms features Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in the lead roles. The transcript ends partway through the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
