What happens

Joe Keller, a successful factory owner, and his wife Kate live with their sons Chris and the absent Larry, who is presumed dead in the war. Chris wants to marry Anne Deever, Larry's former fiancee, and her arrival at the house stirs old tensions. Her brother George arrives with unsettling news about their father, Herbert Deever, who is serving a prison sentence connected to the factory's wartime business. The family's shared history with the Deevers and the question of Larry's fate come to the surface as Chris and Anne try to build a future together. This is the Screen Directors Playhouse presentation of All My Sons, broadcast on December 2, 1949, starring Edward G. Robinson as Joe, with Jeff Chandler as Chris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
