What happens
Ranger Bill Jefferson and his fellow rangers in Naughty Pine help Alexander Peabody after one of his archaeological caravan trucks breaks down. The truck carries an Egyptian pharaoh's tomb exhibit, including a mummy, which the rangers agree to guard while the rest of the caravan continues. Mechanic Blackie Hobbs works on the disabled tractor, and Peabody grows increasingly impatient with the slow pace. Two local boys sneak into the warehouse to see the mummy, and a wealthy collector named Bentley Morgan turns up wanting to buy it. Peabody's temper flares when he discovers the exhibit is missing from its case. The Ranger Bill series aired in the late 1950s, and the episode's original air date is June 18, 1958.

Listen for: Peabody's complaints about the delays and the rangers' guard duty at the warehouse
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
