What happens
Ranger Bill, a forest ranger, is called to the naughty pine hospital when young Leo Foster, who has collapsed on the sidewalk, is found to have a heart condition. Doctors diagnose an opening in the wall of his heart that must be closed, and the only surgery possible requires a rare blood type. Dr. Philip Redgwick, a heart specialist, is brought in to perform the operation. Leo's father, Mr. Foster, is told the procedure will connect Leo's circulation to a second person. This episode of the Ranger Bill radio series, first aired on May 25, 1955, follows the search for a matching donor.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
