What happens
Ranger Bill and his friends travel into the frozen mountain country after Moose McBane reports finding a man standing upright, frozen to death, in Big Pine Lake. The search leads them to a buried body in the ice and to a missing geological party in danger beneath a collapsed snow slide. Bill sets out to reach the trapped men through a narrow vent in the mountainside. The episode is from the Ranger Bill radio series and was first broadcast on December 12, 1956. Frenchy Dussell and his lumber camp crew are part of the early scenes, and Stumpy Jenkins is among the regular characters who appear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
