What happens

Ranger Bill follows Ranger Bill and his partner Stumpy Jenkins as Stumpy hides his failing eyesight from his friends. After a fall from his horse and a traffic stop, Stumpy is told by Doctor Zwerdlick that he has cataracts and needs surgery, which he refuses. Ranger Bill, Pat and Mike grow worried that he is putting himself and others at risk. The story then turns to a rattlesnake bite on Barney, whose young son Sally has come to the ranger office for help, and Stumpy must act quickly despite his poor sight. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
