What happens

Ranger Bill investigates a broken promise after elderly rancher Ezra Newcomb sells his property to Todd Stone. Ezra had agreed that the drag strip on the land would stay open for the local hot rod club, but the promise was never put in writing. When the young racers arrive to find a gate across the track, a tense confrontation with Stone's foreman follows. Ezra turns to Bill Jefferson for help, and the club struggles to keep its members from breaking the law. The episode is from the Ranger Bill series, first broadcast on April 18, 1956.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
