What happens
Ranger Bill Jefferson and his rangers search for bank vice president Ed Banker, who has not returned home for dinner. His wife Peg is frantic, and the family's routine suggests nothing unusual has happened. The rangers question bank staff, examine a discarded coat and hat, and consider whether Ed may have taken money from the bank. The search turns to the bank's locked vault, where a distressing discovery is made and the rangers must act quickly. The series is Ranger Bill, and the episode is titled Ten Hours Too Much.
A small town and surrounding forest, including a bank, a river and bridge on Main Street, and the Banker family home.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
