What happens
Jawaharlal Nehru's life and political struggle for Indian independence are traced from his youth in Britain through his jailings, his rise to lead the Indian National Congress, and his imprisonment in 1942. The story follows his partnership with his father Motilal, his marriage to Kamala, and his growing ties to Gandhi. Commentator Richard J. Walsh, editor of Asia and the Americas magazine, then offers his view of Nehru as a man of the coming world. The program is part of the Pacific Story series and was broadcast by the National Broadcasting Company on January 23, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
