What happens

Two elderly sisters, Martha and Louise Abbott, live with their nephew Roger and his wife Hester after moving out to the country. The sisters grow uneasy when their pet cat Queenie dies after eating meat, and when they learn their old house has been put up for sale without their knowledge. Their suspicions deepen as news of the mail carrier and their household changes. The Mysterious Traveler is an old-time radio drama from the series of the same name, broadcast on Station WOR in 1944 with Irene Hubbard as Martha Abbott and Elizabeth Morgan as Louise Abbott.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
