What happens
Captain Bradford, Jerry Hall, and two Euclidean scientists, Kiyops and Thales, are stranded in the Pacific Ocean after their rocket plane goes down about 75 miles from Euclidea. The plane's instruments have failed and its gas-filled bulkheads no longer keep it afloat. As the wreck slowly sinks, the men cling to the hull while Captain Bradford and Jerry try to keep the two Euclideans, who cannot swim, above water. Meanwhile a Euclidean submarine searches for them, with Joan Gregory and the Euclidean girl commander aboard. The men wait anxiously for the submarine to find them before the wreck goes under.
