What happens
Jerry, Mrs. Gregory, Joan and Captain Bradford are living in the underwater colony of Euclidea, where they are told that everyone must work. Jerry reports that G-47 has planned an artificial volcanic eruption to shield the island from passing ships, which will convince the outside world that the island never existed. Jerry and Captain Bradford's group climb toward a transparent viewing room to watch the eruption. Their route proves blocked, and when the explosions begin, the group realizes that the passage they are in is about to be flooded.
