What happens
Jerry, Joan, Mrs. Gregory and Captain Bradford escape the Magic Island of Euclidea in a stolen Euclidean submarine, now roughly 400 miles away. Their hope of safety ends when an unseen plane attacks them with magnetic bombs that threaten to disable the vessel's instruments and controls. Joan takes command, guiding the submarine into a deep dive to break free of the attack. Afterward, she explains how the bombs work and what their effect would be if the submarine stayed in range. The crew then discusses their speed, supplies and the meal labels used aboard, and the strain of their long journey home. Series: Magic Island.
