What happens
Captain Tex Bradford and Jerry Hall travel with Mrs. Gregory and her daughter Joan on the Gregory yacht, searching for Joan's long-lost sister, and find themselves held powerless near Eucidia, an artificial island in the South Seas run by mad scientists. Jerry disappears after following the scientists toward the submarine chamber elevators, and the others debate whether they should search for him. Tex reveals that he holds a secret formula, and the group discusses how a message could reach the outside world. The story is part of the Magic Island series.
