What happens

Dorothy Gale, a young girl on a Kansas farm, runs away after a neighbor, Miss Gulch, takes her dog Toto and threatens to have him destroyed. A windstorm carries her house far away to Munchkinland, where a good witch named Glinda greets her and the Munchkins celebrate. Dorothy sets out along the yellow brick road toward the Emerald City, hoping the Wizard of Oz can help her return home. Along the way she meets a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman, and a Cowardly Lion, each wanting something from the Wizard. This Lux Radio Theatre production stars Judy Garland as Dorothy and was broadcast on Christmas Day, 1950.

Kansas farm, then the magical land of Oz, including Munchkinland, the yellow brick road, a forest, and the Emerald City

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
