What happens

Nick Charles, a retired private detective, is approached at a Christmas Eve gathering in New York by Dorothy Winant, whose inventor father Clyde Winant has vanished without a word. Her worry draws Nick into a search, and the trail quickly grows darker when Julia Wolf, Winant's secretary, is found dead. This Lux Radio Theatre presentation adapts the story of The Thin Man, a film version directed by W. S. Van Dyke, and stars William Powell as Nick and Myrna Loy as his wife Nora. The episode was broadcast from Hollywood on June 8, 1936, and the cast includes Minna Gombell and Porter Hall. Nick and Nora move between the nightclub, the Winant household and Julia Wolf's apartment as the evidence grows more tangled.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
