What happens
Dulcy Smith, a well-meaning but scatterbrained wife, invites a houseful of weekend guests to help her husband Gordon's business career. Her plan is to win over the powerful businessman Charles Forbes, whose share in a jewelry combine Gordon needs. Dulcy also invites a moving picture writer, Vincent Leach, hoping he will romance Forbes's daughter Angela, while a wealthy stranger, Schuyler Van Dyke, arrives unexpectedly. Dulcy's eager matchmaking and schemes begin to tangle as the weekend unfolds. This Lux Radio Theatre production stars Zasu Pitts and Jean Lockhart, and the play is adapted from George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly's Broadway comedy. The broadcast aired on October 28, 1935.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
