Their shipboard romance deepens as she keeps his attentions at a distance and hides her true destination. The Lux Radio Theatre presents this adaptation of the film Chained, first broadcast on July 27, 1936, starring Joan Crawford and Franchot Tone.

A transatlantic steamship bound for Buenos Aires, and the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina

Characters: Diane Lovering, Richard Field, Mike Bradley, Mrs. Field, Mr. Fartos

Listen for: Mike's teasing banter with Diane aboard ship, and the scene at the hotel where Mike's knowledge of her movements is revealed

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
