What happens
Jerry, a young performer with the circus, watches the show's acts and then helps his friend Slats get back a rhinestone ring. Rosa Rossi, a fortune teller, finds the ring by looking into her crystal and tells Jerry he will be seen in a soldier's uniform near some large trees. Jerry jokes about it with Slats, and later Whitey mentions a similar dream. Meanwhile Boris, a performer who is courting Patsy, dresses up to take her out to dinner. Jerry is not sure what to make of Rosa's predictions. This episode of Jerry of the Circus, first aired on November 29, 1937, is part of the series' early run.
A traveling circus, including the big top, the wagons, and Rosa's fortune-telling tent.
Characters: Jerry, Boris, Olga, Patsy, Slats, Rosa Rossi, Whitey, Jason
Listen for: Rosa's crystal reading about the soldier's uniform and the trees, and Whitey's dream that matches it.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
