What happens

Jerry and Tom visit the circus grounds after Mr. Randall buys an elephant named El Mundo from Spain, along with his keeper Olsen. The elephant will not lie down or obey commands given in English, and the crew is struggling to manage him. Jerry's dog Rags is found with a piece of candy wrapped in thin paper, which matches paper linked to a threatening note. Carmen, the bearded lady, reveals she once worked with El Mundo as a child and recognizes him as her old friend. She explains that he responds to Spanish, and Olsen realizes the animal simply does not understand the commands he is being given. Jerry resolves to trace who gave the candy, connecting it to the earlier threat.

A circus winter quarters, with the elephant tents, the menagerie tent, and the wagons of the performers.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
