What happens
Roger Albers, a prosperous man, is approached in a diner by a pale stranger who warns him not to drive his car that night. Moments later the car explodes after a thief takes it, and police tell Albers' wife, Helen, that her husband has been killed. Helen, who has been in an unhappy marriage, learns that Roger has survived and is alive and waiting for her. Inner Sanctum Mysteries presents The Death Deal, first broadcast on April 18, 1949, with Arnold Moss as Roger and Mercedes McCambridge as Helen. Roger proposes a bargain that tests Helen's loyalty and her willingness to kill, and Dennis, Helen's lover, is drawn into the scheme.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
