What happens
Ethel Canning spends a night alone at a rented country house with her seven-year-old daughter Judy while her husband Harry is working late in the city. A wounded stranger knocks at the door and forces his way inside, holding a gun and demanding help. Ethel must find a way to protect her daughter and herself. Inner Sanctum Mysteries is the series, and this episode aired on September 9, 1946. The transcript gives no lead actors, so none are named here.
