What happens

Gladys Cross, the warden's wife at Moore Penitentiary, wants out of a loveless marriage to Warden Edward Cross. She and Stephen Brownlee, the assistant warden, plot to use the prison laundry worker Lucky Briggs to kill Edward and make it look like an escape. Gladys arranges for Bucky to hide in the cellar of their house while she waits upstairs. The story follows her nerves as the plan unfolds and the prison sounds its alarm.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
