What happens

Britt Reid, a young newspaper publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet, assists the police after Mrs. Sylvester Kilburn, a domineering society matron, is shot dead in her library. Her daughter Gloria, her estranged husband Sylvester, the musician Bob Forest, and the household servant Parker all had reasons to be near the house that afternoon. Reporter Axford and Sergeant Burke work through the conflicting accounts and alibis as the suspects are gathered under guard in the hall. Britt and his valet Cato examine the scene and set a trap in the darkened library to draw out the killer.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
