What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Kato investigate a string of waterfront robberies and the murder of a watchman and a shopkeeper, Rudolph. Reid and reporter Axford suspect that Stanley Tim, a prominent importer, is involved after a bottle of rare perfume traced to Rudolph's shop links the stolen goods to the river gang. Reid and Kato, working as the Green Hornet, search the shop, discover a hidden trapdoor and a secret waterway beneath the building, and follow it toward Tim's company. The episode is part of The Green Hornet radio series, which aired on September 2, 1947.

Riverfront district of an unnamed city, including Rudolph's swap shop, Tim's importing office and the yacht Fondela.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
