What happens

Britt Reid, a young newspaper publisher who secretly fights crime as the Green Hornet, investigates after Perry Iverson, a discharged soldier, brings his war dog Buster to a dispute involving an attack on a stranger. Britt becomes suspicious when Michael Axford reports the case and mentions a man named Francois Parais at the Atlas Apartments. Britt and his valet Cato go after the dog and the man, with Britt tracking the situation through the night. The Green Hornet series aired on September 26, 1944, and the transcript does not name the lead actors. The story concerns a Nazi officer's plan, the wartime background of the dog Buster, and the Green Hornet's pursuit of the suspect.

An American city during World War II, including Britt Reid's newspaper office, his apartment, the Atlas Apartments, and a city dog pound.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
