What happens
Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, pursues the killer of Andrews, a state witness murdered before he could testify to graft in state politics. After Joe Fennerty, a trusty at the state prison, phones Reid with claims about the murder, the call is cut off and a second caller, apparently Fennerty, names a man who had already died. Reid, as the Green Hornet with his valet Kato, investigates the prison and Fennerty's widow. The Green Hornet, Reid's masked crime-fighting identity, is heard in this 1948 broadcast of The Green Hornet, first aired on March 23, 1948.
A state capital in the late 1940s, including the state prison, the Daily Sentinel offices, and a waterfront boathouse.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
