What happens

Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, and his valet Cato, work to expose gambling in the city, and the Green Hornet strikes against racketeers. Reid, under his newspaper persona, publicly claims the city's gambling has been wiped out, but a shipment of gambling devices has been dumped into the bay. Cato reports that Frankie's gambling equipment is missing, and Reid's crew pursues the case. Reid's reporter Mike Axford and his secretary Lenore Case follow the trail, and Reid confronts Chief of Police Ritter. The gambling machines are soon traced to a building, where a raid turns up nothing, and the chief becomes suspicious of Reid's motives.

A city with a river and harbor, where gambling is being raided and the police and press are involved.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
