What happens
Publisher Britt Reed of the Daily Sentinel pursues a story about corruption on the school board after its member Jane Bixby vanishes. Secretary Lenore Tate and reporter Michael Axford help him press the investigation, while police commissioner Higgins follows the case. When Reed plans a staged scene at Bixby's apartment to force a police search, he finds the apartment disordered and Councilman Henry Altman arrives. The first part of the story sets up a confrontation between Reed, the Green Hornet, and Altman in the apartment. The story is a 1948 episode of the radio series The Green Hornet, broadcast on March 2, 1948, with the cast heard in the program.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
