What happens

Michael Oxford, a reporter for the Daily Sentinel, investigates Paul Norton, who runs a chain of cut-rate stores and hires veterans with promises of manager jobs that never materialize. After Norton is acquitted of graft in court, Britt Reid, publisher of the Sentinel, has Oxford run a series on the veterans' treatment, with Joe Bennett, a former employee, supplying the story. Bennett is then lured away to a beach cottage, where he is roughed up by hoodlums. Reid, as the Green Hornet, arrives to find him and confronts Norton and his associates. The episode is part of the Green Hornet series and originally aired on May 6, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
