What happens

Lynn Iverson, newly released from prison, is met outside by his old friend Stubby, who has a car and a plan to get him work. Iverson takes a job at the Kane airplane factory, where a series of accidents has been reported. Meanwhile, Britt Reid, publisher of the Daily Sentinel, grows suspicious of the factory's troubles and begins to look into them alongside his valet Cato. Stubby, wary of his friend's new associates, begins to keep watch on them himself.

A city during wartime, including a prison, a small apartment near the Kane airplane factory, the Daily Sentinel office and a West Highway road.

Characters: Lynn Iverson, Stubby, Britt Reid, Cato, Michael Axford, Bloomberg, Carl, Inspector Martin

Listen for: Stubby's growing suspicion that Iverson's new friends are spies, and Britt Reid's first move against the factory's accidents.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
