What happens

Robert Black, a convict exiled to the cold colony of Mars, is bitter about his life there and pleads with colonial administrator Jenner to send him back to Earth, but Jenner refuses. Black later meets Peter Carson, a young space service pilot in Marsport, and the two drink together. Carson's new Skyfire ship is then taken, and the authorities begin searching for the two men. The transcript covers only the first part of the story, so the outcome of the pursuit is not included here.

Mars, in the colony of Marsport, and later Earth

Characters: Robert Black, Jenner, Peter Carson

Listen for: Black's bitter pleas to Jenner to be returned to Earth, and his first meeting with the young pilot Peter Carson in Marsport

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
