What happens
Captain John Weatherby arrives at Thursday Island with a fortune in pearls, earning a reputation for honesty that the island's sailors find suspicious. An old acquaintance called the Deacon confronts him and proposes a scheme to seize the valuable cargo aboard the Brisbane steamer. Weatherby agrees to take him on as a partner, and the two begin to plan the operation. The story is from the Escape series, first broadcast on May 6, 1954, and this episode is titled The Adversary.
