What happens

A traveler named Reiser arrives in the port city of Bazarter, seeking a place free of struggle. After a dinner conversation with a fellow passenger, Tuckett, about the nature of life's hardships, he meets a blind beggar who leads him through a wall into a seemingly perfect land. There he is welcomed by a guide named Zeen and falls in with Angela and her brother Laura. Reiser begins to question the flawless life around him, where fish leap onto the boats and every deer is in view, leaving no challenge. Escape is a half-hour adventure anthology series, and this episode, The Return, first aired on November 9, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
