What happens
Captain English of the freighter Roundabout takes aboard a sinister passenger in Shanghai, a man calling himself the Reverend Mr. Walks, who wants passage to Bali. Walks pays well and carries cases of Bibles, but Captain English soon suspects him. A young Chinese stowaway girl is found dead, and the captain believes Walks is responsible, though he cannot prove it. Port after port refuses to let Walks ashore, and the crew grows restless under his influence. The Escape series, a dramatic radio anthology, presents Ellis St. Joseph's play A Passenger to Bali, first broadcast December 10, 1950, starring John Dana as Captain English and Lou Merrill as Walks.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
