What happens
Sam Kerrigan, a hunting guide in the Belgian Congo, is pressed by Inspector Fernack to lead a government party across the river into the territory of a white man calling himself king, Benjamin Hammer. Fernack has a warrant to extradite Hammer for embezzlement and murder committed years earlier in Brussels. Kerrigan reluctantly agrees, but the party soon faces hostile attacks and the drums of the local villages announce their approach. The episode is part of the Escape series, first broadcast on October 15, 1950, and is performed by a cast led by Harry Bartell as Sam.
The Belgian Congo, a remote territory across the river from Mujumba, where a white man rules a kingdom of Bahuto tribesmen.

Listen for: The drums carrying messages ahead of the government party, and Kerrigan's changing loyalties as he confronts Hammer and his wife Alice.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
