What happens
Dr. Dubois, Fenaro and the parrot, three escaped convicts from a French penal colony near Numea in New Caledonia, drift on a raft with a native man who steers it. Their plan depends on a schooner meeting them, but no ship appears, and their water runs low while tension grows between them. The convicts treat the silent native with contempt, and each man tries to keep the supplies to himself. The escape is presented in the Escape series, adapted from John Russell's story The Fourth Man, with Joseph Kearns, Ben Wright and Barney Phillips in the cast.
A small raft on the open sea near New Caledonia in the South Pacific, not far from the town of Numea.

Listen for: The growing quarrel over the dwindling water supply and the silent native steering the raft.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
