What happens

Black Flame of the Amazon follows the children Jean and Jimmy, who are stranded in the Brazilian wilds after their plane is wrecked while searching for their archaeologist father. They are rescued by the explorer Mr. Noise, but they are soon taken prisoner along with Pedro and the pilot during an Indian uprising stirred up by the white renegades Butch Grogan and Lamy Scroggen. Grogan has seized a valuable map and a secret code, and after the children destroy the code he vows vengeance. Confined in a village hut, the group talks about the soldier ants of the jungle, a feared form of torture. Grogan returns and gives the prisoners ten minutes to decide whether to reconstruct the code and repair the plane.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
